Calling all Ontario public library marketing staff:

Is marketing a public library all or part of your job? Then join us for the first ever meeting of the Marketing Public Libraries Think Tank!

The Marketing Public Libraries Think Tank has been created FOR public library marketing professionals, BY public library marketing professionals. The Think Tank will allow us to meet others facing the same challenges, and share success stories and ideas with each other. The Think Tank is not part of any official organization, nor is membership required. It is a simple, but effective way to become better at what we do!

The Almonte International Puppet Festival, Puppets Up! will be offering workshops on all aspects of puppetry once again this August.

In previous years many librarians have attended and found the experience not only useful but enjoyable!

3 day workshop from August 5-7. The camp will be running from 9 to 3:30 daily at OISE, 252 Bloor St. West (St. George subway), Toronto.

This annual literary event is held in the picturescape hamlet of Eden Mills, east of Guelph, on the Eramosa River. Authors of adult, YA and children's literature confirmed for this year include Ian Brown,Wade Davis, John Donlan, Gwynne Dyer, Jonathan Kaplansky, Leon Rooke, Sandra Sabatini, Linda Storm, John Ralston Saul, Mary Swan, Miriam Toews, Curtis Parkinson, Valerie Sherrard, Alan Cumyn, Cary Fagan, Don Gillmor, Lynn Johnston, Charles Pachter, Edo Van Belkom, and Frieda Wishinsky.
