Assistive Technology for Students with Learning Difficulties
OK colleagues, this is my 1st ever blog! In September 09, I'm taking over the T-L position (with Learning Support responsibilities) in the Secondary Dept. of a strongly academic school here in Bermuda. Having trained for this over 10 years ago, I feel like I'm scrambling to catch up in the area of technology. The Super Conference in Toronto in January was great but left me even more concerned about "catching up"! We want to purchase software to help our LD and LD/Gifted students. Voice to text and text to voice softwear would be very, very helpful. I'll have at least 2 dozen PC's in my library and want to integrate Learning Support and Library technology. Can anyone make recommendations? Do you use Premier Software? Kurzweil? Your suggestions would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Marlie
