Data curation in the humanities

Last month, I was fortunate enough to be funded by IMLS to attend the 2009 Summer Institute for Data Curation in the Humanities at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Since returning, I've been doing a lot of reading about digital curation, and I'm putting together a proposal for a professional development leave to study processes in academic libraries surround the curation of digital humanities data.

There is a deficit in the research / discourse in this country regarding humanities data, and I'm wondering if any readers out there are actively curating digital data, or considering doing so. I'd be interested in discussing this topic particularly with digital archivists and others working with either born digital or digitized data.

Thanks!
