The Peterborough Public Library has subscribed to a number of CCH and Canada Law Book items for a number of years (ex. Canadian Labour Law Reporter, Canadian Goods and Services Tax Reporter). We find these items are rarely used and are quite costly. I'm wondering if other medium-sized public libraries subscribe to these types of items? If not, where do you direct your patrons if they need this type of information? i.e. what are the alternatives? Are there a few titles that you have found essential to keep?
