Somehow, two of my blog posts have disappeared from this site (I know, that brings into question my numeric ability again - hence the “ish” attached to this one). The two that have disappeared make my post before this one unintelligible.
So, to catch anyone up who missed one of those posts, I am on break now, finished my website in time and it is functional (http://www.imc.uwo.ca/~pthomas/nexus_public_library/index.html [1] if you want to browse it), and was just getting into the swing of the relaxation when I fell down the deck stairs at the cottage (in my defence, it was early in the morning, dark and the stairs were dew soaked) and am now on crutches, again.
I know that the missing posts were on this site for a while, because it was the conversation that I had with my sister once she read them that led to the post about my experience in Montreal on crutches. It was not until she had brought it up that I realized I had been on crutches on every single campus I have attended in pursuit of a higher education!
I have only one more week to go before classes start up again. This term I am taking a social media course (very exciting), reader’s advisory, public libraries in the community, program evaluation and youth services. It will be a lot of work, but then, which term hasn’t been incredibly hectic? I was talking with one of my classmates at the end of the term and we agreed the first term was punishing with 24 assignments, the second one insane. I had 36 assignments, she had 41. If this pattern continues for the final term, I may not be posting anything during those four months. Time will tell.
Regards,
Peggy
